You are a steward, NOT an owner.  It ALL belongs to God!

Psalms 24: 1-2  

 

The earth is the Lord's, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

2 For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.

Everything that you have comes from God.  You were made from dust and when you die you will become dust again.  You cannot take anything with you.  You are just here for a time to manage the 'thing(s)' which God has entrusted to your care until you die.  Do not waste your time nor HIS TALENTS.

Matthew 25: 14 - 30

14“Again, it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his wealth to them. 15To one he gave five bags of gold, to another two bags, and to another one bag, ^a each according to his ability. Then he went on his journey. 16The man who had received five bags of gold went at once and put his money to work and gained five bags more. 17So also, the one with two bags of gold gained two more. 18But the man who had received one bag went off, dug a hole in the ground and hid his master’s money.

19“After a long time the master of those servants returned and settled accounts with them. 20The man who had received five bags of gold brought the other five. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with five bags of gold. See, I have gained five more.’

21“His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’

22“The man with two bags of gold also came. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘you entrusted me with two bags of gold; see, I have gained two more.’

23“His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’

24“Then the man who had received one bag of gold came. ‘Master,’ he said, ‘I knew that you are a hard man, harvesting where you have not sown and gathering where you have not scattered seed. 25So I was afraid and went out and hid your gold in the ground. See, here is what belongs to you.’

26“His master replied, ‘You wicked, lazy servant! So you knew that I harvest where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed? 27Well then, you should have put my money on deposit with the bankers, so that when I returned I would have received it back with interest.

28“ ‘So take the bag of gold from him and give it to the one who has ten bags. 29For whoever has will be given more, and they will have an abundance. Whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them. 30And throw that worthless servant outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

Your talent(s) is a gift....

Whatever God has given to you is for you to 'improve/ increase/ grow/ flourish.  God has given each of us the potential to make wealth i.e. to succeed at whatever our endeavour.  God gives us time, talent and resources to further HIS KINGDOM - HIS PURPOSES.  HE PROVIDES so that we can populate. Genesis 1

Psalms 25:12-14 

 
12 What man is he that feareth the Lord? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose.

13 His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth.

14 The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant.

God helps us to succeed by giving us ideas that bring revelation.  God has a warranty for your life.  But if you misuse your life for reasons other than HE created you for, you will automatically fail at your goals; and are no longer qualified to receive HIS warranty.  For instance:  God's warranty are HIS laws/instructions that govern the way we're supposed to live and function effectively.  It generally goes like this - Do this and you will receive that.  However, when we disobey then we suffer because we expect the same results inspite of our disobedience.  With God, disobedience has consequences.  Following God's instructions often leads to blessings, while disregarding them often leads to curses.    

Romans 6:23 

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord.

Your gifts OR 'HIS TALENTS' given to you, come with a guided blueprint from HIM the manufacturer.  The Almighty God is The SUPREME King.  Whatever HE says is law.  As HIS children we have an inheritance which was created before we were even born.  This inheritance gives us certain rights and responsibilities.

Ephesians 2:10 

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.   

God gives instructions through The Holy Spirit....

God doesn't expect you to figure it out.  HE just expects you to nurture and maintain them to the best of your ability based on the guidelines from The Holy Spirit.  HE explains God's Kingdom culture, expectancy and government to us God's children.  HE is our 'royal tutor'. John 14 You can't plant a tree in concrete and expect it to grow.  Trees were made for soil, as fishes were made for water, as gasoline was made for cars.  Deuteronomy 11 (God's covenant to HIS people) Stay under God's covenant so that you may/ can fulfill HIS purpose for your life.  Your life is HIS, don't waste it - rather make HIM proud by being a good steward of what HE has entrusted to you. 

Everything in the earth belongs to God and reflects HIS glory the same way a mansion reflects a King's glory.  You see his 'glory' in the quality and nature of the things he owns eg. his gardens, his wealth, his staff and the quality of their work.  Or an artist and his painting.  It reflects his nature too.  Some say the earth is God's artwork, man included.  It gives God great pleasure to display what's HIS. HIS children and their talent(s) are HIS.  We belong to HIM. It's HIS air we breathe in.  Everything in the earth is subject to HIS authority, even the devil and his demons.  All God has to do is say the word.  It's what Kings do.  The centurion with the sick servant understood that. As heirs and co-heirs to God's Kingdom we his children also have power in what we decree (as long as it is according to HIS Will) St. John 15 Each of us have our own set of roles and responsibilities.  Our actions declare God's Glory or abuse of it. It is very important that we remain submitted to HIM by observing HIS leadership through the person and presence of The Holy Spirit.  HE helps us to present our best shine.
