This page was created to help give insight to the WORD of God, the Bible. Your faith should empower, not enslave you. Explore God's love and power for you to dominate your circumstances and world with us. God's love is real - I dare you to test it!
Face your Goliath in the Name Of The Lord - Learn about God's Kingdom, your Kingdom, the rest is history!
All you have to do is believe. It's that simple. Just as you have faith that the plane/ train/ bus/ car will take you to your destination so too you must believe God. The manufacturer of the motor vehicle is excited for you to take his car for a test run. He knows what it is capable of. The chef is delighted for you to try his gourmet recipe that he spent hours preparing. The scientist is breathless for you to try his newest invention. So too God is enchanted for you to prove HIS GLORY. HE wants to show you what HE'S capable of and how much HE really cares for you.
Like David, HE has given you a talent of some sort; something that you're really good at. HE gave it to you to explore, practice and get really good at it, so that when the time is right all you'll have to do is look within you and use it to the best of your ability. Matthew 25 Like the parable of the master who on leaving his house entrusted his property to his servants. Upon return, he expected them to increase/ improve on what he had given each of them to steward. Everyone has God given talent(s). We are stones, born with perfect gems within each of us. In Genesis 1 everything that God created was good. That means that you are an original masterpiece. There's only one you in 6 billion people living in the earth today. No one else has your fingerprint. Man is the only thing that God formed; everything else HE spoke it into being. You were specially crafted. HIS Word says HE knew us before we were in our mother's womb. That's like a seed before it's put into the ground to bear fruit. God knows what you and I are capable of. But more importantly, HE knows what we can accomplish when we partner with HIM.
2 Peter 1:3
His divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life
and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that hath called us to glory
and virtue.
God's love is 100% pure....
There is nothing alive that wasn't made by God, even Goliath. God isn't afraid of 'our goliaths' i.e. our oppositions/ hurdles/ enemies/problems/ issues that we have no idea how to deal with. In fact, life is riddled with obstacles. You are either infront of one, heading into one or just come away from one. Challenges are a way of life; a way for God to declare HIMSELF as Sovereign over all the earth; a way for God to demonstrate HIS power and glory. It is important that we recognize and respect who HE is and what HE is capable of. If we could figure everything out for ourselves we wouldn't need God, nor would we appreciate HIM. We need to understand and trust HIS motives. First of all, God never retracts on HIS Word. If HE says HE'S going to do it HE will. Everything HE does is driven by HIS love for us. Romans 5 When we trust in God it doesn't matter what we face. HE delights in using HIS Power to demonstrate HIS Love for us towards anything that would want to deter HIS plans for the success of the gifts HE has placed in or given to us.
God is a King....
The Almighty God is The Supreme King of both the heaven and the earth. Psalm 47 HE is Sovereign over all i.e. there is no power that exist outside of HIS dominion that is more powerful than HIM. Whatever HE creates, institutes or does cannot be undone by anyone. HIS Word is final. As a King, whatever HE decrees is law. HIS government is not democratic, republic nor any other system than royal. The rules and regulations of HIS government are not open for debate. You either obey or disobey. When you disobey you are seen as an enemy of The Kingdom. That's the way it works in a Kingdom. There are protocols which need to be followed. In a Kingdom, a king is responsible for the welfare of his citizens. Their lifestyle reflect his glory i.e. nature, character and wealth. For instance: the neighborhood you live in, the house, the clothes you wear, the school you attend, etc... reflect your parents' wealth and preferences. When you become a child of God you are a citizen of HIS Kingdom. All citizens have rights and privileges. These are based on the laws and constitution of that kingdom. The more familiar the citizens are of what is acceptable, the more they can take advantage of the opportunities in their kingdom. Knowledge is key. It is important to know your talent(s) and the King's resources at your disposal.
“I cannot go in these,” he said to Saul, “because I am not used to them.” So he took them off.40 Then
he took his staff in his hand, chose five smooth stones from the
stream, put them in the pouch of his shepherd’s bag and, with his sling
in his hand, approached the Philistine.
41 Meanwhile, the Philistine, with his shield bearer in front of him, kept coming closer to David.42 He looked David over and saw that he was little more than a boy, glowing with health and handsome, and he despised him.43 He said to David, “Am I a dog, that you come at me with sticks?” And the Philistine cursed David by his gods.44 “Come here,” he said, “and I’ll give your flesh to the birds and the wild animals!”
45 David said to the Philistine, “You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.46 This day the Lord will deliver you into my hands, and I’ll strike you down and cut off your head. This very day I will give the carcasses of the Philistine army to the birds and the wild animals, and the whole world will know that there is a God in Israel.47 All those gathered here will know that it is not by sword or spear that the Lord saves; for the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give all of you into our hands.”
When God says I will NEVER leave you nor forsake you, BELIEVE HIM! Deuteronomy 31 As a child of God HIS Kingdom is your inheritance. After the devil deceived Adam and Eve in Eden God promised to restore access in Genesis 3 Jesus brought that restoration. Matthew 16 It has always been HIS intention to let you have dominion in HIS Kingdom on earth. Power and authority is what God had in mind for mankind all along. All you have to do is accept and believe HIS commands.
Genesis 1: 26 -28
And God blessed them, and God
said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and
subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of
the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
Do not allow yourself to be distracted by anyone or even your own thoughts. (David did not allow his brothers, Saul, the soldiers, anyone to distract him from his belief in God) Whatever you need a VICTORY for, believe HIM. It could be a bad relationship, a sickness, a trauma, a loss, a fear so overwhelming that it cripples you, steals your joy, weakens you. BELIEVE HIM! That was never HIS plan for your life, NEVER! Jesus overcame so that we could do the same. We have power and authority on earth to overcome our circumstances. We can take control. John 16 We do not have to live subject to any other authority but that of The Almighty God through the leading of The Holy Spirit whom Jesus left as our teacher. John 14 Afterall, this 'Kingdom thing' is all new to us. We need someone who understands it and is familiar with its territory and government system. Draw close to God, and HE will draw nigh to you. Call upon HIS NAME and watch HIM win.

Learn about God's Kingdom, your Kingdom, the rest is history!
11 Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
The Bible tells us to 'put on' the WHOLE armor. It's something we need to do individually everyday. The devil our enemy is a trickster; and our being armed is what will cause us to defeat him. The devil is not an idiot. he is extremely wise and experienced. Our battle is not against flesh and blood. Our fight is not physical. It is not with people. In the Kingdom of The Almighty God the angels, not people are the army of God. In the Kingdom of God the 'we' who wrestle represent the angels who wrestle on our behalf. Hebrews 1 The angels are assigned to every believer. They represent us by fighting against four different entities. Just as God had order and rank and file in heaven, so too when the devil was cast out of heaven he replicated God and created rank and file on earth. In order to defeat our enemy it is important that we follow the strategy outlined by God. We fight in tandem with God's commands. God's strategy is that we:
* put on the armor - be hid in Christ St. John 15 Truth, peace, righteousness, salvation and the Holy Spirit are all through Jesus. It is a lifestyle, a daily exercise, not just a one off event.
* make a 911 call through prayer. Call on God when you need HIM and don't 'hangup the line.' Be like Daniel, i.e. pray without ceasing - Stand! Daniel 10 Daniel didn't stop praying, you shouldn't either.
We petition God, then HE sends HIS angels. The Kingdom of God has a totally different government system than the ones we are familiar with. We have to be taught how to live and operate as citizens in this Kingdom. Ephesians 2 Jesus told Pilate that HIS Kingdom was not of this world. The Holy Spirit is our teacher that knows and understands God's system. Jesus assigned HIM to us. Luke 24 We have to study our enemy as well as know the habits and nature of our enemy, so that he can't deceive nor use us. Jesus told Peter: "get thee behind me satan." The fight is between kingdoms. We are no match for the enemy in our own strength. The wrestle/ fight is against four different entities:
1. Principalities- These are demons who rule specific territories eg. communities, families, blocks, etc... They are strongholds, not easy to overcome. These demons are ranked. They are the generals in the army of the devil. There are several root demonic forces:
a. moral impurity - immorality, improper sexual behaviour, homosexuality, adultery, lust, fornication, etc...
b. bitterness and unforgiveness
c. temporal values - things that don't last
Psalms 68:35
One of us can put a thousand to flight and two of us can set the legions free.
It is important to be accountable to another saint.
2. Powers - Ability to delegate influence. The devil has power, but he doesn't have all power. he can do supernatural things too. But only God is all powerful. The power that God has given us is more powerful than all the powers of the devil and his minions. 2 Peter 1 The earth belongs to God, not the devil. Do not fear the one who can kill the body. Rather fear the one who can kill both the body and soul.
Romans 8:38-39
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Even though principalities and powers are often 'buddies' together, neither of them has power enough to separate us from God's love. God's love towards us includes HIS re-positioning us as rulers of the earth. HE sent Jesus on that successful mission to re-introduce us to HIS government. Isaiah 9
Ephesians 1: 15-23
....That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him:
18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places,
21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,
23 Which is his body, the fullness of him that filleth all in all. Jesus who lives inside of us is seated.
Jesus who lives in side of me, whose power is resident inside of me, is seated far, far, far above ALL principalities and powers. Hence I have absolutely no need to fear their powers because they also are way, way, way below me. Greater is HE that is in me than he that is in the world. We don't ever need to fear demons. Wherever the Kingdom of God exist, so does the power of God. Where sin abounds, grace doth more abound. Romans 5 Jesus said, The Kingdom of God is upon you, and it is in you. Luke 11 & 17 The same powers that Jesus exercised while HE was on earth, as a child of God and a citizen of the Kingdom I too have them. Ephesians 2 I'm also seated in the heavenly realms with God, so I too have the power to command or change what happens in the earth like Jesus did. I have the power to cast mountains into the midst of the ocean based on my faith in God.
Ephesians 3: 8-12
8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;
9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,
11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:
12 In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.
First we need to understand the truth about what God intended for us as humans in the earth. Man was made to dominate the earth and worship God. It is God's great pleasure to give us the Kingdom. Luke 12 There are so many rights and privileges in our citizenship. A primary role is to declare in the heavenly realms who we are and whose we are. We are authorized by God to command principalities and powers boldly to flee, like Jesus did with the legions and the pigs. We are to remind them about what God has said about us HIS children and them HIS enemies. Our power and authority is based on God's righteousness, not ours. We need not fear for anything. Our focus should be to learn and understand the wisdom of God through the teaching of the Holy Spirit.
Colossians 2:9-15
9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:
11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ:
12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.
13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses;
14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;
15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
1 Peter 3: 22
22 Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.
We have superior power over principalities and powers of darkness.
3. Rulers of darkness - absence of truth/ light. The devil operates in areas of darkness and fills our heads with lies. Secrets are his major weapon. he pulls us away and influences us to keep things hidden. But the truth is, we cannot be holy without the discipline and help of The Holy Spirit. It is not by might, nor power by MY Spirit says The Lord. Zechariah 4 We don't need to try to do anything in our own strength. In fact, it is a sin to do things in our own strength, because those that worship God must worship HIM in spirit and in truth. St. John 4 Our sins separates us from God's light which is HIS presence. Our responsibility is to stay in god's presence, even when we fall into sin. We need to ask God's forgiveness and chase after HIM. Sin is often a camouflage of the truth. The devil thrives in ignorance and deception. his aim is to keep you there - deceived. Light always dispels darkness. Seek the truth, that's where the light is. Be guided by Jesus' commands and lifestyle. Seek ye first the Kingdom of God. And pray, forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Luke 11
James 5:15-16
15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
4. Spiritual host of wickedness in high places - demonic plots, schemes and plans executed in high places with the goal of bringing you to a place of giving the devil credit. High places is always in reference to a place of worship. Our fight is no longer on a physical level for us. God has revealed the secrets of the Kingdom which grants us access and authority to open and close doors of opportunity to triumph in every circumstance we will ever face. Mark 4 God allows things to happen for our maturity. We should worship the Lord especially when we're feeling like we're under attack. The apostles in prison praised God. Desist from talking about the devil and talk about God instead. Our situations are controllable.
We have the power to calm every storm that rises up in front of us. We have the power to part every Red Sea that we run into. Not by might, nor power, but by HIS Spirit! God wants us to overcome the challenges so that HE can get the glory. All the glory belongs to HIM! Romans 8 Everything that we do should be with the intent to bring glory to The Almighty God. The devil and his soldiers are no match for us and God's angels. God's Kingdom can never be defeated! The battle serves to prove that The Almighty God is sovereign over all creation.
TESTIMONY: Exposing Satan's End Time Strategy | Mario Murillo | Something More
“Or again, how can anyone enter a strong man’s house and carry off his possessions unless he first ties up the strong man? Then he can plunder his house.
There is a spirit, an entity, that has been assigned to a particular place that manipulates the activities of that area. Each spirit is subject to the authority of the government of a deity. There are two ruling powers:
1. the god of this world/ earth - i.e. the devil
2. the God of the universe - i.e. The Almighty God
Spirits rule different territories like cities, blocks, communities, families and organizations. In order to control anything in that region, one has to dispossess the 'strongman' i.e. the spirit in charge of that area. There are several kinds of ‘spirits/ strongmen’ and you’ll need to first disarm him/ them in order to destroy and remove his/ their powers. Knowing and blocking their strategy and arsenal power is critical for victory. Of equal importance is knowing and releasing yours. Proximity to the forte/ source of supplies is primary. Everything is dictated by authority and power. You retreat or advance based on your relationship to the source. Your attitudes and beliefs are driven by your knowledge, understanding and connection.
Matthew 16: 15 – 19
15 “He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?
16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.
17 And
Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for
flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is
in heaven.
18 And
I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will
build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
19 And
I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever
thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou
shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”
The role of the strongman is to dominate a territory based on his god's government. The strongman takes over a place that he does not own. He is a bully. The strongman does not represent the Almighty God because The Almighty God only sends HIS spirit where HE'S invited. HE'S not a bully. You can only overcome, destroy and or get rid of the strongman by invoking the power and presence of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Understanding your position....
Mankind lost his power over the territories of this world to demonic forces when Adam and Eve gave 'their' dominion to the devil. Several years later Jesus came to the earth and died on the cross. Through HIS death and resurrection HE regained that dominion/power on behalf of men and gave us the opportunity to be in charge again.Luke 10:19 I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. The power and authority that a christian possesses is greater than any power any demon can possess. But only by engaging through the power of Jesus Christ can we defeat the strongman. Jesus took back the keys of dominion from the devil which Adam and Eve had given to him. HE then offers those keys to us again. But in addition to those keys HE also offers us a 'tutor'; someone who knows which keys are for which doors in the Kingdom of God on earth. In order to dominate effectively, we have to become familiar with the rules of engagement with the territory under our jurisdiction whether it be our lives, families, businesses, communities, countries, etc... Our victory is twofold:
1. Based on what Jesus did - regain the keys and give us the Holy Spirit as our teacher
2. Based on what Jesus taught - the gospel of the Kingdom of (heaven on earth)God
Revelation 12: 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.
Revelations 1: 18 I am the Living One; I was dead, and now look, I am alive for ever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades.
Luke 11 ; 22 But when someone stronger attacks and overpowers him, he takes away the armor in which the man trusted and divides up his plunder.
Spiritual warfare includes real powers. Unless the strongman is defeated, the reality of a place will not change, and there will never be peace. These spiritual forces are oppressive. 2 Corinthians 10 Spiritual warfare is for spirits, not humans. We cast out demons in the name and authority of the Lord Jesus Christ based on the Holy Spirit living within us. But it is God who sends HIS angels to fight on our behalf. When we pray we grant the angels access to represent us in the earth. God's Kingdom has a real government with a real army that represents 'us' the real citizens in the earth. The angels are our government's cavalry. For instance: we don't have to try to figure out how to open prison doors. Like Paul and Silas, we walk through the front door. Like Daniel, we sleep with the lions unarmed. Or like Shadrack, Meshek and Abendigo we walk out of a fire unscathed. Our responsibility is always to pray. Prayer is our access card. God takes care of HIS citizens. HE gives HIS angels charge over us. Angels are ministering spirits of God that are assigned to us to do our biding. Hebrews 1 Our weaponry is in our words because life and death is in the power of the tongue. Proverbs 18
The power of the word of our testimony....
Jesus' death and resurrection released the devil's control/dictatorship. Jesus overthrew his governance and gave us the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit teaches us how to rule properly now that we are under a 'different jurisdiction'. We now take orders from a new government. We follow new rules and regulations based on the government of the Kingdom of heaven. Jesus sent HIS disciples to testify of the gospel which HE shared with them. Matthew 28 Ever since Jesus started HIS ministry after the wilderness experience HE preached the gospel of the Kingdom, and when HE left after HIS resurrection HE commissioned them to do the same. The first time HE sent them on a practice run HE was precise in what they should share.
Luke 10: 5-11
5 “When you enter a house, first say, ‘Peace to this house.’6 If someone who promotes peace is there, your peace will rest on them; if not, it will return to you.7 Stay there, eating and drinking whatever they give you, for the worker deserves his wages. Do not move around from house to house.
8 “When you enter a town and are welcomed, eat what is offered to you.9 Heal the sick who are there and tell them, ‘The kingdom of God has come near to you.’10 But when you enter a town and are not welcomed, go into its streets and say,11 ‘Even the dust of your town we wipe from our feet as a warning to you. Yet be sure of this: The kingdom of God has come near.’12 I tell you, it will be more bearable on that day for Sodom than for that town.
Jesus commissions us to be witnesses of what HE said and did. HE took control:
healed the sick
cast out demons
raised the dead
commanded creation i.e. wind, trees, water, etc...
but more importantly HE taught about the government of the Kingdom.
HE was God's representative of heaven on earth. HIS methods were God's original plans for our lives as humans. HIS actions were based on God's economy. For example: HE fed over 5,000 people with two (2) fishes and five (5) loaves of bread. HE turned water into wine. HE put money in a fish's mouth. A testimony is valid based on evidence of a witness. Jesus commands us to take the stand based on 'HIS witness'. i.e. based on our experience with HIM in this capacity? Is HE who HE says HE is? Did HE do the things HE professed? Do we have proof? Does HE have power and is it sufficient to dominate without resistance?'These are the secrets of the Kingdom - the ability to do impossible things in normal circumstances.' This is how a citizen binds and looses i.e. (un)grants access to the storehouse of heaven. Access to the forte is extremely important. If you run out of resources or cavalry is lacking, then the strongman can return. Defeating the strongman is not just about relieving him, but more importantly setting up a system where he's unable to return. Jesus has given us the opportunity to dis-empower the strongman of everything he dominates(d)in the earth i.e in our lives, family, community, office, globe. Our dominion is now rightfully restored to us if we'll accept it.
2 Peter 1:3 HIS divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of HIM who called us by HIS own glory and goodness.
Ephesians 1 We have the power to destroy the strongman. The blessings to overcome have also been distributed to us in the heavenly realms. Not only do we now have power in the physical realm, but also in the spiritual realm because we are now seated with Christ there too. Ephesians 2. Our power is extensive. The keys to the Kingdom open several doors to us. We've been granted access. No longer do we have to live oppressive, harassed and unfulfilled lives on earth. There's no way we can manipulate nor understand the immense power and authority we now have without the intervention of the Holy Spirit. We will have to enter into the heavenly realms through prayer to access them. No wonder Jesus prayed so much, not out of desperation, but rather from HIS disposition. Praying is not just about our requests. It's an open line of communication, a roadway. It includes assignments and other forms of traffic i.e. our spirit, the Holy Spirit, our understanding, a meeting of the minds, etc... Each new day God gives us new assignments. Jesus didn't pray about demons, HE wasn't pre-occupied with them. HE simply cast them out. But HE prayed to the Father, Our Father, about HIS mission. Jesus told HIS disciples that HE only did what HIS Father told HIM to do. Jesus was constantly praying; always talking to the Father about what to do next and how to do it. Jesus gave us those rights and privileges so that we could live empowered lives like HE did. Romans 6 When HE confronted demons it was in authority, not fear. HE didn't spend hours with them either. Practice to fear God and disrespect demons, not the other way around. Don’t be intimidated. From where you sit, you're more powerful. Use your authority. For instance: use words like - leave, go, flee. Learn to spend more quality time in prayer. Prayer isn't about a department store and a shopping list. It's a classroom. Spend more time there, learning, training, waiting for wisdom and understanding. Prayer is quality time with God.
The strongman will not go freely. He is assigned to make your life miserable. You will have to emancipate yourself from his rule and authority in order for your destiny to be made manifest. You need to understand the power and authority that the Almighty God has given you in order to demolish the powers of the strongman. It's like the story of the prodigal son. Luke 15 Even though he was living in a pig pen eating pig food, he was still the son of royalty. But until he chose to get up and go back to his father he would never have had those privileges again. His father told them to put a ring on his finger, and clean him up properly to reflect his rightful position. He was a prince who ended up in a pigpen. Is that your story? What living conditions are you subjecting yourself to emotionally, physically, even spiritually? Are you aware of what you are entitled to as a citizen of the Kingdom of God? Your heavenly Father is waiting on you.
St. John 1:12
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
Today, choose to get up! You are not a slave nor a hired servant. You are a heir and co-heir to the throne of the Almighty God. Place perpetual injunction and supernatural embargo on the strongman in your territory. Pray with humility and repentance. Confront the strongman with understanding of your position and authority. For instance: you are no longer in control of my life, my destiny, my family etc... My life and family's destiny is in Christ Jesus. When you resist the devil, he has to flee. He's not omnipotent nor omniscient, only the Almighty God can be that. Take back what's rightfully yours and lock him out for good. Tune in to the Holy Spirit your counsellor for classes. Pray i.e. keep going to school, and keep the channels open.
TESTIMONY: Son of Imam starts preaching the Gospel on the streets of GAZA!! - Pod for Israel - Arabic Ministry
Jesus was led by the Holy Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted….
The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.”
4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’
5 Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. 6 “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written:
“He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’
7 Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’
8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. 9 “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”
At the end of power there is praise.Power summons applause, acknowledgement and authority. The Almighty God is a jealous God. HE demands the glory. Everything thing we do should point back to HIM. It’s a boomerang of a world that we live in. God made all things to praise HIM, even the demons. They were kicked out of heaven because they tried to usurp HIS supremacy. The devil tried to deflect, to revert some of God’s glory to himself. That’s it right there, EGO. The moment we begin to make it about us we begin to loose. Jesus often always reverted back to the Father, HIS father. We need to discipline ourselves to do the same. We need to review our motives continuously. Who are we trying to impress? Who are we trying to please? Whose agenda are we on? We should be careful not to loose sight of the mission. What does God require of me? Am I pleasing HIM? Am I in sync with the leading of HIS Holy Spirit?
It was not an accident...
Jesus was led by the Holy Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. It was an important part of the agenda. The wilderness established HIS allegiance. It prepared HIM for the road ahead. It was HIS starting line to identify the temptations that the devil would throw at HIM; and the mission HE was on. Jesus declared from the get- go that HE was not about to give the devil any glory for any ‘fame/ fortune/ or misfortune’ that could lie in front and/ ahead of HIM.
Bread – referred to strength – physical sustenance i.e. emotional appeal. The devil appealed to Jesus’ nature – the biggest physical threat at the time; the thing which would have been on HIS mind – food. Jesus had just completed 40 days of no food. HE was famished. The 1st obstacle/ thing in HIS human experience to overcome would have been his physical desire – hunger. Hunger makes us weak. It’s a natural response of the body. When we are weak it interferes with our focus. For Jesus, it was food. But what is my biggest physical desire? What do I crave? What am I hungry for? It will interfere with my focus. It will make me weak if I don’t address it dead on.
Performance – referred to psychology – i.e. mental appeal. We act according to our beliefs. The quality of our performance is based on the standard of our perception. What does the best look like and whose standards are those? An excellent performance warrants praise. Who are we trying to please or impress. If I’m trying to please you then am I doing what is on your agenda? If I’m trying to be popular then I’m swayed by the crowd. Our performance is always in comparison to something/ Performance – referred to psychology – i.e. mental appeal. We act according to our beliefs. Who are we trying to please or impress. If I’m trying to please you then am I doing what is on your agenda? If I’m trying to be popular then I’m swayed by the crowd. Our performance is always in comparison to something/ someone else – a challenge. The devil was calling Jesus to a challenge. He did the same thing with Eve in the garden of Eden. God calls us to obedience not comparison. Our roles are specific based on HIS ordinance. God created man. Performance should be derived from purpose. I am a car hence I drive. I am a boat hence I sail. I am a man hence I’m obedient. I worship. I need to be careful not to be influenced by my own opinion nor any other person's opinion but God's.
Praise – referred to power i.e. spiritual appeal. Life and death is in the power of the tongue. The devil wanted Jesus to praise him. He was willing to trade power for praise. The power is in the praise. What we say has an adverse effect on our environs. There is a spiritual world/ realm that exists simultaneous to the physical world. The spiritual world is of more significance than the physical world i.e. more powerful. Both worlds have a ruling powers who dominate each territory. Both territories are at war with each other. The fight happens in the spiritual realm and then manifests itself in the physical realm. Genesis 1 Originally God gave man power to dominate the physical territories. But then man was deceived by the devil and gave/transferred that power to the devil. So the devil continues to controls the physical realm if and when man allows him to. This is because After Jesus Christ came to earth HE gave man the power to take back his authority from the devil. At the end of the day, it's man's decision.
Galatians 5: 16 - 18
16 So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17 For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want.
There is a conflict of interest....
The thing about the fight is that humans are the conduits/ vessels – used. Romans 6 We allow/ choose which god we will allow to use us. We choose which god to serve. That choice dictates our agendas. Each god has his own agenda. Both gods are enemies. The god of the physical world is satan, and the God of the spiritual world is the Almighty God. The spiritual world/ realm also requires strength to focus and fulfill an agenda; primarily God’s agenda.
Bread is the physical food that gives physical strength; and the Word Of God is the spiritual (bread) food that gives spiritual strength.
Matthew 4:4
But HE answered and said, it is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
Authority is reflected in speech. The more we speak the word of God in our circumstances, the more spiritually fit we become. And like Jesus, when the devil comes to tempt us we impress and please God with our response. We fight spirit with spirit. Pay attention: Like Jesus, it is important that you be led by the Holy Spirit. Do not attempt the wilderness in your own strength. Do not attempt life in your own strength. Also, it is imperative that you know The Word.
Psalms 119:11
Thy Word have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against THEE.
All of God’s word from Adam and Eve to Revelation has one aim which is to give glory to The Almighty God. Everything that has breadth was made to praise the Lord! Everything that God made, HE made it to worship HIM. You cannot worship God and mammon, either you will love one and hate the other. I pray that like Joshua you will be able to say: Choose this day whom you will serve, but as for me and my house we will serve The Lord. Joshua 24
